Using MaketheSign.com
These terms apply when you use the MaketheSign.com site, request a quote, upload artwork, submit an order request, review a proof, or authorize production. By taking one of those actions, you confirm that you can act for yourself or the organization named on the request.
Product descriptions and policy pages explain the standard workflow. The confirmed specifications, approved proof, and any written order-specific terms control when they differ from general site content.
Pricing, quotes, and order requests
Calculator and cart amounts depend on the specifications entered and the active catalog configuration. A cart is not a reservation of price, material, or production capacity. A quote is valid only for the scope and period stated with it.
Submitting an order request records the requested configuration; it is not proof approval, payment confirmation, or production release. If artwork, specifications, availability, shipping requirements, or taxes change, the amount may need to be revised before release.
Proof approval and payment
Production remains on hold until the current proof is approved and every required payment or operational condition is confirmed. The proof review experience will show the version being approved and the payment status available for that order.
Approval authorizes production of that proof version. Review spelling, numbers, dimensions, orientation, sides, colors, trim, and quantities before approving. Customer-approved errors or preferences are not production defects.
If live payment is not available in the displayed checkout, no card is charged through that step and production stays on hold pending separate instructions or configuration.
Changes and cancellations
Before proof approval
Request changes or cancellation through the order-specific contact path. A request is not effective until confirmed. Work already performed, special materials already obtained, or third-party costs already incurred may affect the available options.
After proof approval
Approval can trigger payment and production preparation. Changes or cancellation may no longer be possible once production, purchasing, or fulfillment has started. If a stop is still operationally possible, MaketheSign.com will confirm the resulting cost and schedule impact before proceeding.
After shipment
An order cannot be canceled after it has shipped. Delivery issues and claimed production defects are handled through the review process described in the shipping policy.
Custom-made products and issue review
Signs are made to the submitted specifications and approved artwork. They are not automatically returnable because of a preference change, an incorrect customer-supplied detail, or a difference already visible in the approved proof.
If the delivered product appears damaged or materially different from the confirmed specifications, preserve the items and packaging and report the issue with the order number, affected quantity, and photos. MaketheSign.com will review the job record before determining the appropriate remedy. No remedy is promised before that review is complete.
Customer content and acceptable use
You are responsible for the accuracy, legality, and authorized use of submitted content. Do not submit material that infringes another party's rights, violates law, facilitates fraud, threatens safety, contains malicious code, or misrepresents authorization.
You grant the limited permission needed to review, adjust, store, reproduce, route, manufacture, and fulfill the submitted project. Ownership of customer artwork does not transfer to MaketheSign.com through that permission.
Site and service availability
MaketheSign.com may correct catalog errors, pause unsafe or unsupported work, change a production route, or suspend a workflow that cannot be completed as submitted. The site and its saved device data may be unavailable during updates, outages, browser resets, or network failures.
These terms may be revised as products and workflows change. The date at the top identifies the version published on this page. Changes apply going forward unless an order-specific agreement says otherwise.
